Your car's A/C is like every other system in your vehicle. There are multiple parts working together to keep that cold air blowing, and if anything fails, you're going to have a problem.

Compressor
This is one of the most important parts of your car's HVAC system. If your A/C isn't working as intended, it's likely that this component is the culprit.
The compressor is powered by the serpentine belt in your Alfa Romeo car, and it uses that power to compress the refrigerant into a high-pressure liquid. Then, your A/C can carry this refrigerant throughout the whole system, creating cooled air that keeps you comfy no matter what the temperature outside is.
Condenser
This part is responsible for cooling outside air. The air passes through a series of coils and cools down, condensing into a cold liquid that won't cause the A/C system to inadvertently blow warm air instead of cold air.
Orifice Tube
The orifice tube helps restrict the flow of refrigerant, changing a high-pressure liquid into a low-pressure mist. From there, the mist enters the evaporator.
Without proper maintenance, the orifice tube can easily get clogged and struggle to do its job, so it's best to have this looked at every once in a while.
Filters
There are filters in your car that can prevent outside debris and pollutants from getting into your cabin. This keeps air quality high, but older filters might struggle to do their job.
Eventually, all of the filters that your car uses will need to be replaced, and our mechanics can easily help you out with that.
Evaporator
The evaporator helps move cooled air from the inside of your HVAC system through the vents and into your vehicle. Its main job is to keep you and your passengers as cool as possible.
